Keeping Room Floor--We're Getting There!

Yes, we ARE getting there. . . .
But, John has another job to do. . . .
And, the weekend is coming up. . . .

What do ya think?

I know you're probably thinking it looks finished. . . .We like it this way, too. . . .
But, when we put the table back--and the black chairs--they got lost. . . .
The floor and table and chairs blended together into one big heap. . . .
Part of the fun of re-doing any room is the surprises that happen, isn't it?
So, I'm heading for the paint store this weekend. . . .

from my farmhouse to yours. . . .

Be still my heart! This is absolutely gorgeous! I know that this is loads of work also, because I have done it. I did 24x24 squares on concrete, and it was a job. I still have the black and white diaganol checks in our sunroom and love them, but yours on the wood just takes the cake!

OMG!!!! This looks beautiful. I hope the paint you are getting is to paint the chairs not the floor. I love the floor. Beautiful.

Love, love, love it!!! Isn't it amazing that you think you have something completed only to discover there is more work to be done!

I love the look of a painted floor!
It is looking good, can't wait to see it finished. I love that you also did a small boarder.
I am thinking of doing it in the kitchen....does it hold up good? And how do you think it is for messy projects? (we tend to do a lot in our kitchen) Does it hold up good to water?

It looks wonderful! What a lot of work, but it paid off. I can imagine when all the "stuff" goes back, perhaps it may not be to your liking, but I can only imagine, because I think it looks fab. Ann

Your floor is amazing! I love checkerboard pattern. I know that was a lot of work. In fact I painted my craft room floor in the basement in checkerboard. It's still a work in process, but someday soon it will be done.

Have a lovely weekend!
Deborah
